Inspiration @ theDesk: Art exhibition opens on 17th – 18th March 2018
theDesk is proud to present Inspiration@theDesk — our largest-scaled art exhibition to-date. The showcase debuts in conjunction with Hong Kong Arts Month and the official opening of our new luxurious 15,000 sq.ft. space at Leighton Centre, Causeway Bay.
In celebration of theDesk Leighton Centre opening and to kick off Hong Kong Arts Month, over 20 emerging and established local and international artists will be showcasing their finest works across 50 rooms. Aside from the vibrant art pieces, visitors can also take part in art-related workshops throughout the weekend.

Workshops & performance
Draw your masterpiece
by Hong Kong artist Fuquan Junze
A free drawing workshop suitable for adults. The class explores the sculpture of human faces. Participants are challenged to interpret facial features and learn useful drawing techniques.

Chinese ink painting performance
by Yung Chee Mun, Simon (Blink Gallery)
Hong Kong artist Simon will run a demonstration of contemporary Chinese ink painting. With deep academic knowledge in Chinese painting and Chinese humanities, he further studied calligraphy and seal engraving under with Master Ou Dawei, ink painting under with Master Hung Hoi. Often displayed at international exhibitions, his landscape paintings are deeply inspired by classical Chinese philosophy.

Beginners crochet for charity
by Knitting and Crochet Volunteers ImpactHK
This non-profit hobbyist group comprises of volunteers who welcomes knitting and crochet lovers of all skill levels to make warm blankets, scarves and beanies for the homeless and less fortunate. During the event, you will learn the basics of crocheting. All proceeds will go to the beneficiaries of local charity organisation ImpactHK.
